Beginning in 1979, Singapore Exchange-listed company Pan Asian Water Solutions Limited is today reputed as a "one-stop" provider of high quality piping system solutions, primarily for the water purification and wastewater treatment industry in the Asia Pacific region.
Specifically, the company operates in four business segments - portable water, wastewater, Newater, and others:
- The potable water segment includes pipelines linking raw water collection points to water purification plants, or distribution pipelines bringing clean water supply to homes and industrial buildings.
- The wastewater segment includes waste and sewer pipelines that channel the discharge of waste matter to wastewater treatment plants before discharging into the sea or routed to other users.
- The Newater segment includes pipelines relating to Newater treatment plants.
- The Newater segment includes pipelines relating to Newater treatment plants.
Today, The company is able to supply over 750 items of ductile iron pipes, valves, gates, couplings and other related accessories crucial for the assembly of integrated water piping solutions, which could also be customized within its in-house fabrication facilities to suit each customer's specific requirements.
As part of its overall growth strategy, in FY2009 the company entered into a joint venture agreement to establish Duvalco Valves (Tianjin) Co. Ltd in Tianjin, specializing in valves manufacturing. With a 60% stake, the JV enables the company to have greater control and lower risk in its pursuit to be the preferred provider of integrated water solutions in the region.
In February 2010, the company signed a letter of intent to purchase a plot of land in Tianjin Eco-City, with the intention to develop its major manufacturing plant to serve its growing global needs and markets.
In June 2010, the company acquired 60% stake in a Malaysian company, PVT Engineering Sdn. Bhd., well-known for trading in engineering products and the design, supply and installation of pumping plants and storage water tanks for water works applications.
Headquartered in Singapore, the company is today home to about 250 employees in more than 10 offices and subsidiaries across the Asian region.
